Sexy Songs

One of my favorite songs, even though it was totally overplayed in its time is Sunday Morning by Maroon 5. I love the lyrics of the song:

Fingers trace your every outline paint a picture with my hands Back and forth we sway like branches in a storm Change the weather still together when it ends
It's just such a romantic song to me, and puts me in mind of those gorgeous first strains of being in love.

I also love Your Body is a Wonderland by John Mayer. Which again, totally overplayed, but it's just a really excellent tribute to well...making love.

One mile of every inch of
Your skin like porcelain
One pair of candy lips
And your bubblegum tongue

Cause if you want love
We'll make it
Swim in a deep sea
Of blankets
Take all your big plans
And break 'em
This is bound to take a while
Or, how about Wicked Game by Chris Isaak? Is it a sexy song? Or just a smoking hawt video? Here's a sample of the lyrics, you decide.

The world was on fire
No one could save me but you.
Strange what desire will make foolish people do
I never dreamed that I'd meet somebody like you
And I never dreamed that I'd lose somebody like you

And then, of course, the classic, Let's Get It On by Marvin Gaye. One of my favorite sexy songs:

We're all sensitive people
With so much to give
Understand me, sugar
Since we got to be
Let's live
I love you

There's nothin' wrong
With me lovin' you
Baby, no, no
And givin' yourself to me can never be wrong
If the love is true
Oh, babe, ooh, ooh

Don't you know
How sweet and wonderful life can be?
Whoo-ooh
I'm askin' you, baby
To get it on with me
Ooh, ooh, ooh
What's your favorite sexy song?

Each is a heartbreaker.

ok, it's country but my favorite right now is Gettin' You Home by Chris Young:

Tuxedo waiters, black tie,
white table clothes and red wine,
we've been planning, this night,
looking forward to it,for some time
now honey I know you love getting dressed up,
and you know I love showing you off,
but watching your baby blue eyes, dancing in the candle light glow,
all I can think about, is getting you home,

I'm dating myself here, but "Kiss You All Over" by Exile (1970's). I loved this song back then and I still love it today. I think its sexy and romantic.

Lyrics:
When I get home, babe
Gonna light your fire
All day, I've been thinkin' about you, babe
You're my one desire

Gonna wrap my arms around you
Hold you close to me
Oh, babe, I wanna taste your lips
I wanna fill your fantasy, yeah

I don't what I'd do without you, babe
Don't know where I'd be
You're not just another lover
No, you're everything to me

Everytime I'm with you, baby
I can't believe it's true
When you're layin' in my arms
And you do the things you do

You can see it in my eyes
I can feel it in your touch
You don't have to say a thing
Just let me show how much

Love you, need you, yeah

I wanna kiss you all over
And over again
I wanna kiss you all over
Till the night closes in
Till the night closes in

Stay with me, lay with me
Holding me, loving me, baby
Here with me, near with me
Feeling you close to me, baby

So show me, show me ev'rything you do
'Cause baby, no one does it quite like you

Love you, need you, oh babe

I wanna kiss you all over
And over again
I wanna kiss you all over
Till the night closes in
Till the night closes in

Till the night closes in
Till the night closes in
Till the night closes in

Now I gotta go listen to it! :o)

Oh my gosh. I just LOVE the first two songs you mentioned, but especially John Mayer's Your Body is a Wonderland. Could I guy write a sweeter, sexier, more romantic song for his girl? I don't think so. And the music and the way he sings it is just so lovely.

Kiss Me Like You'll Never See Me Again by Alicia Keys is also another of my favorite love songs, but it verges on the edge of sad, too.

I love both Sunday Morning and Your Body is a Wonderland. In answer to your question, the song I always think of is far lesser known-- "Know Who You Are At Every Age" by Cocteau Twins. Not for the lyrics--most of their lyrics are nonsensical, frankly, but for the melody. Seriously-- google it, listen to it, and let me know if you don't think of sexin'. ;-)
