Finally! Entertainment Weekly gets one right. I'm ever confounded by EW's lists, and yet strangely addicted to them. This time, it's the Top 50 Sexiest Movies Ever (Movies 50-25 here, and 24-1 here). Here's the Top 10 List1- Out of Sight
2- His Girl Friday
3- Mr. & Mrs. Smith
4- Body Heat
5- Bull Durham
6- Don't Look Now
7- Y Tu Mama Tambien
8- The Last of the Mohicans
9- A Walk on the Moon
10 - Before Sunset
OK, so I haven't seen three of these movies, Body Heat, Y Tu Mama Tambien and Before Sunset. But I've seen the rest. And for once, I TOTALLY agree with Out of Sight as the sexiest movie. The sexual tension between George Clooney and Jennifer Lopez is incendiary and their chemistry is incredibly hot. There's a scene in the trunk of the car that will get pretty much anyone's blood pressure going.
I also love the pick of His Girl Friday, which is one of those "talk, talk, talk" movies. But again, the chemistry makes the sexiness.
I was disappointed not to see Tequila Sunrise on the list. I think that the love scene between Michelle Pfeiffer and Mel Gibson in the hot tub is one of the sexiest I've ever seen. But overall, nice job, EW. Usually I think you guys have made glaring errors, but I'm pretty happy with this Top 10 List.
What do you think some of the sexiest movies are?

I know exactly what you mean. I'm definitely not a fan of Jennifer Lopez, but I love this movie. :) I think it is all about the chemistry between the two of them. The scene where he's in the tub and she's stalking him? Oh, yeah. :)
For me, some of the sexiest movies are old classics, specifically because of the smolder. :)
Philadelphia Story
Roman Holiday
Anything w/ Spencer Tracy & Katherine Hepburn
North by Northwest
Vertigo
Etc. etc. You can tell I was raised on classics. :)
I also think Last of the Mohicans. I don't think I've ever seen chemistry like that, especially in movies where there's usually a lot of sex and not enough chemistry.
Unfaithful too. That scene where she's on the train remembering what happened? Smokin!
That one with Jennifer Lopez was the only one I saw out of this list!!! I totally need to see Body Heat.
I'm embarrassed to admit that I've only seen one movie on the Top 10 list - Last of the Mohicans, which I loved (even though is very different to the book, which I also loved). And while I agree the chemistry between the two leads was amazing, what drew me in was the completely unspoken love between two of the secondary characters - Alice & Uncas...
Orannia don’t feel bad I’ve only seen two and my other one is Mr. and Mrs. Smith :o)
I would add:
Chocolat - w/Johnny Depp and Juliette Binoche. not a big fan of Juliette but Johnny only raises the heat factor.
Like Water for Chocolate - foreign film. there's something about subtitles in this flick that just revs my engine.
Body Heat - with a young Kathleen Turner - OMG - there is a scene on the floor in the foyer that melts the celluloid. It takes place in Florida, If I remember correctly - and the entire movie everyone has a sheen of sweat that evokes HEAT and sexual tension. Yes, it is one of the sexiest movies ever. Kati if you get a free afternoon, definitely rent it.
Like that Out of Sight, yes I do!
Uhm. I didn't click the links..but where is 9 and 1/2 weeks? Remember when Mickey Rourke was so hot?
LB - Oh yeah, 9 1/2 Weeks is in there. Very sexy movie!
Jules - Have you seen Dan in Real Life? I also am not a huge fan of Binoche, but she's terrific in that movie and has a really lovely chemistry with Steve Carrell.
I haven't seen that one yet, Kati. I didn't know she was in it. I do like Steve Carrell.
Wow! I've only seen two of these.
And I thought Out of Sight was gruesome, not sexy. Mr. & Mrs. Smith though...hot damn, that was a sexy movie.
Out of Sight was amazing and will forever be the best movie Jennifer Lopez is ever in. I thought the list was great. Not so much Basic Instinct (it just doesn't turn me on like some of the other ones do) and The Seven Year Itch? Eh. Not so much.
For me, Don Juan DeMarco totally gets me hot. Johnny Depp, the music, the tango - oh my. Even a big fat Marlon Brando can't ruin the sexiness for me.
