I promised Scott I'd ask opinions on this. As women, which word do you prefer being applied to you?
If a guy tells you you're hot, is that better or worse than being told you're beautiful? Or sexy?
From my perspective, I'd rather be told I'm beautiful than hot or sexy. And Scott maintains that beautiful is a better compliment than hot or sexy, which I agree with.
When I look at someone like Catherine Zeta-Jones, I think she's beautiful. She can look hot or sexy, but generally speaking, I'd describe her as beautiful or Aishwarya Rai, who has been described as the most beautiful woman in the world.
I look at Scarlett Johansson, and I think "hot." She's got that sexy thing going on. She can look beautiful, but in general, she's hot.
What do you guys think? Which is the bigger compliment?
